Museum of East Texas

I'm very pleased to announce that the following 3 photographs will be on exhibit at the Museum of East Texas starting October 2010. As you can see, the theme for this exhibit was wildflowers. I took these photos all over east & central Texas this past spring. This exhibit will run from October 2010 until April 2011. Come check it out! =)

a flock of birds...

I am a member of the Angelina Photography Association. Twice a year we submit photos of a certain theme and 1 or 2 of our submitted photos gets chosen to be on exhibit at the Museum of East Texas.

For this fall, the theme was birds. Below are my 5 submitted photos. The first one (with the cardinal) was chosen to hang on exhibit at the Museum starting in September.

It's always exciting to see your work hanging somewhere, where it can be admired. And it's fun shooting the necessary photos for each theme. I had to rely on birds at the zoo, to suplement my enteries because everytime I tried shooting birds in the wild, it never worked out too well (with the exception of the photo below).

In other news, I have a photoshoot with two gorgeous sisters tomorrow evening which will be super fun. And it looks like I'm just about booked solid for the 2nd weekend in November in Austin with family photoshoots. Live in the Austin area and wanna book a session (possibly for xmas card pics) that weekend, let me know. =)
