so lately we've been in heavy discussions about buying land and buying our house. for the last month it's been the main topic of conversation. i think the issues with our landlord just re-emphasized that maybe it's time we move on. so for the last month we've been looking for land. most people want way more than market value for the property. they must think it's really special or something. but really around here you're getting ripped off if you're paying more than $5000 an acre.
we've looked at several properties. but each one had issues that were non-negotiables for us. too far from town, low lying/flood prone, too expensive...being the main one. and then yesterday we went an looked at a property that was not only very pretty but reasonably priced. the only thing is it's not officially on the market but we know the people who own it. it has an old old house on it with several outbuildings that would have to be torn down, but i could see us living there. it's 7 acres, so it would be a family property where all the brothers would have a place to build if they wanted to. we're not sure what's going to happen but the timing for it all is interesting and i'm anxious to see what God has in store.

my Project 365 is still going but i'm kinda stuck when it comes to creative ideas. most days the photos i take are just an after thought. blah! although lately i've had so many other things on my mind photography has taken a back seat. (as have a lot of my other creative endeavors). i did buy a "new" lens...and by new i mean used.. i bought it to replace the one i broke a couple months ago. it's more of a wide angle lens which i'm enjoying.
tuesday i went in and got my hair highlighted and cut. and i've been tanning over the last month so now i look like a blonde beach bunny. i'm not all too sure that's a good thing. but i was tired of looking so pasty white & my hair was in desperate need of some color. i tell ya, having Ava wreaked havoc on my hormones, everything from my skin to my hair just seemed lifeless and dull. and here she is almost 10 months old and my body is still recovering. i'm getting to old i suppose. LOL!
